05-05-2009

It was a beautiful warm day on my 29th birthday, so Calvin and I decided to make the short drive to the scenic Napa Valley's wine country for a "wine & bike" tour. But being 4 hours late for the bike tour, we decided to take the wine train instead, but we missed the train as well. So we head to the wineries along Silveraldo Trails. Our first was at Luna, which reminded me of some medieval temple. As we walk in, we felt uncomfortable so we left without any wine tasting. So our next stop was at Paraduxx. They charged us $20 for wine tasting along with some fancy crackers. The most over-priced wine tasting fee ever! After half listening to the wine educator explaining away all the different kinds of wine, we down the 12% alcohol and left. After two wineries, we concluded that we might never be a wine snob. =(
We're Hennessy Privilege loyal fan.
Bay Areans are so fortunate to have Napa and some of the best wineries right in their backyard. Its a great place to escape all the road rage, stress, and hostility in the bay area.
